I used to log in to ListenBrainz once or twice a year exclusively to backup my Last.FM scrobbles, it’s always taken only a couple of clicks, but over the years they’ve added so many features and enabled integrations with several third-party services that nowadays it’d be easier to simply move there.
I’m really digging their Weekly Exploration playlists and getting solid background music out of the Radio Playlist Generator.
With the incoming end of the year lists craze and the looming Apple Music vs Spotify charts war, I’m glad there is a FOSS alternative to both Last.FM and $potify’s recommendations algorithm.
