Ah, the joy that’s coming to this little, authentic Latino corner in Warsaw with take-out empanadas and Salsa music on the weekends. Macondo Bar Latino gets it.
Unlike all those insulting “colombian” restaurants around the world that take some inspiration from Escobar, they took the name from One Hundred Years of Solitude, a book a wise man once told me “needs to be read once every year.” Macondo is not just the fictional village on which the story takes place, it’s Colombia as imagined by author Gabriel García Márquez.
Seriously, if anyone sees this, please never go to any restaurant inspired by a narco. Anyone who thinks that’s creative or even okay can go to hell.
At Macondo Bar they have Bandeja Paisa (how do they even get such good plátanos here in Poland? I want in 😅) I love the empanadas and I’m going for patacones next…
