…And people ask me why’d I switch from Android back to iPhone all the time. Because longevity and ease of getting a battery replaced or screen repaired anywhere in the world vs. some other brand. Same thing with Macs. iPhones work the same in Japan, America, Europe, Africa, China. Pluto, Alpha Centauri, Neverland, Narnia…

Absolutely right!

I actually discovered later that all the old iPhone needed was a charging port replacement. So I might switch back to it once the current one fails me 😅 but that might take a few years 🤞🏽

↳ Reply to: How I Rate Movies

... This rating system was created so that I could remind myself generally what I thought about the movie without having to write a review and more importantly, make it easy to know whether I thought something was worth coming back to later. It doesn't always make sense but it works for me...

Like benji I use ratings as a “visual indicator of enjoyment” and to highlight the works I’m most likely to revisit or recommend, a “system” that has made easier browsing my libraries over the years.

One of the reasons I didn’t add a Listens section earlier was Jekyll was taking too much to generate all the pages in my website, adding the scrobbles would’ve made it unbearable. So what I started doing was manually filtering through the listens and highlighting the best albums, if they’re worth listening to, they deserve a post, right?

I think to be able to browse your Listens by artist, see your top tracks by that artist and then all the albums, would be amazing. But if you listen to a lot of music this approach would probably deserve its own website I guess.

Oh and the deleted post is actually the same post with a correct URL. I recently switched to Jan-Lukas’ GoBlog and it seems I hadn’t setup the correct URL path for notes.
