🍿 Greetings from Tim Buckley · 2012 · ★★½

Greetings from Tim Buckley it's that kind of film that seems to have too much but for reasons it ends up giving not so much. It tries to tell the story of Tim and Jeff Buckley, father and son, but it turns out to be an introduction to that amazing album Jeff recorded in 1994, which is somehow symbolized by a lovely girl in the film (or at least that's how I see it). Greetings from Tim Buckley it’s that kind of film that seems to have too much but for reasons it ends up giving not so much. It tries to tell the story of Tim and Jeff Buckley, father and son, but it turns out to be an introduction to that amazing album Jeff recorded in 1994, which is somehow symbolized by a lovely girl in the film (or at least that’s how I see it). It also shows a Tim Buckley completely detached from loved ones (mother and pregnant wife) while he seems to be more interested in another woman but in the end he’s not that interested; also a Jeff Buckley willing to make his own path and trying not to recognize the big influence his father had in his work. The music it’s great, the film has its moments (record store scene) but seeing it as a whole it just can’t be.
